  • • Day Camp is divided into two separate groups: Day Camp Jr. (Ages 3.5 to 4) and Day Camp (Ages 5 to 6).
    • Within Day Camp Jr. and Day Camp, campers are split into grade appropriate groups.
    • IDEAS Camp always aims for a 6:1 camper to counselor ratio.

    IDEAS campers’ experiences should be as diverse as their growing interests. Day Camp offers a variety of hands-on activities for curious young minds. Our adult/teacher-led staff provides a setting for exploring, creating, discovering, and eye-opening activities for uncovering talents and forging new friendships. Through a mix of art, music, introductory science and performing arts, Day Camp is much more than a typical day at camp! Enjoy a safe, nurturing and stimulating traditional camp environment with a new themed-session each week–allowing campers to enroll in multiple weeks, if not for the entire summer.

    IMPORTANT NOTES:
    • All Day Campers Must Be Fully Potty Trained To Attend Day Camp
    • Each Camper In Day Camp Receives A Camp T-Shirt (one shirt per summer) and Morning Snack at No Additional Cost.

    WILD WILD WEST | June 3 – 7
    Yee-haw! And welcome to the Wild West! Put on your cowboy hat and look toward the horizon for some awesome Western-themed activities and crafts. Expect a visit from the silliest cowboy around, Oxbow Ozzie. Campers will have fun creating their own cowboy costumes and testing out their ranch hand skills in friendly competitions throughout the week. Saddle up for a week in the West you won’t forget!

    DINOSAUR DETECTIVES | June 10 – 14
    Calling all future paleontologists! Grab your fossil brushes as we step back in time to discover the age of dinosaurs. This week campers will create their own dinosaur costumes, uncover mysterious fossils, and even build their own binoculars for a dinosaur hunt around camp.

    STAR WARS PADAWAN ACADEMY | June 17 – 21
    Climb aboard the Millennium Falcon and set your sights for a Galaxy Far Far Away! See if you have what it takes to be the next IDEAS Jedi as campers compete with fellow Padawans in StormTrooper Bowling. Our Day Camp Padawan program will blow campers’ minds as they build lightsabers and go through The Saber Training Academy with the great Ozzie-Yoda.

    KINGS, QUEENS AND CASTLES | June 24 – 28
    Hear ye, hear ye! Calling all Lords and Ladies of the land. Join us in the Camp Kingdom as we take off on an adventure back in time. Campers will enjoy puppet shows, Renaissance dance parties, and the Noble Knight training course. Make your own Renaissance costume complete with family crest! Beware of wise wizard Ozzie, as he’s been known to cast spells that make water balloons fall from the sky.

    OZZIE’S STAR SPANGLED CELEBRATION | July 1 – 3* (Mon – Wed)
    *No Camp on: Thur July 4th; Fri July 5th (the tuition for this week will be prorated appropriately)
    Oh say can you see — all the patriotic-packed games and crafts in store for campers as we celebrate our nation’s birthday along with Ozzie’s. Shhh! We are throwing Ozzie a surprise party! Campers create patriotic hats, construct firecracker shakers, decorate Ozzie’s birthday card, have a watermelon contest, and participate in the U.S.A.-themed fun and games. This is a jam-packed week full of celebrations!

    SILLY SCIENTISTS | July 8 – 12
    Campers, welcome to IDEAS Laboratory! Put on your very own customized lab coat and step into a world of curiosity and discovery. Throughout the week, campers will conduct experiments that fizz, fly, stick, and even create artwork by manipulating the molecules of color in markers! This fun-filled week is sure to strike the curiosity of every little scientist.

    3..2..1..BLASTOFF | July 15 – 19
    IDEAS Summer Camp is out of this world! Prepare for an important space mission by creating your own specially-equipped space helmet. Then blast off into space by building your own rocket. We will explore the planets and meet some space friends as we make our journey through the universe. Be ready to join in on all the fun and prepare to countdown….3..2…1..outer space!

    UNDER THE BIG TOP | July 22 – 26
    Come one, come all! The circus is coming to IDEAS Summer Camp! Campers join Ozzie for a week of silliness and fun as they participate in circus-themed games and activities. Campers practice their balancing skills, learn to juggle, develop performance skills, and become a silly clown — face paint and all. You won’t want to miss all this fun!

    DR. SEUSS IS ON THE LOOSE! | July 29 – August 2
    Join Thing One and Thing Two and step into the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss! Let’s work and play together all week long to discover all of the amazing adventures that Dr. Seuss has in store. Can you find the Cat in the Hat during our camp-wide scavenger hunt? Campers will work together to solve puzzles, create fun names for mythical creatures, and make their very own Truffula Tree to take home!

    At IDEAS Day Camp, we provide a safe, nurturing and fun-filled environment our younger campers. Our well-trained and experienced teacher/early childhood counselors foster personal growth and development each every child. Our primary focus in Day Camp is for campers to: meet new friends, learn new skills, try new things, and gain confidence that will benefit them for years to come.

    At IDEAS Camp, our day campers learn, have fun and are continually encouraged to realize their potential. Whether it is through music, arts or imagination the goal is to build self-confidence and to maintain an environment of constant positive experience. Activities are child-centered, and emphasize social development, character development, leadership, team work. The goal in each activity is to build self-esteem by encouraging children to feel capable and confident in their abilities that inevitably create the effort over results mentality upon which IDEAS Camp was built.

    IDEAS Camp offers FREE extended care before and after the camp day for children who need to arrive early or stay late. Campers in the extended care program participate in a variety of well-supervised, age-appropriate activities ranging from sports, stories and puzzles to board games. After care campers enjoy a snack and juice provided by the camp.

    Extended Care Hours
    • FREE Morning Extended Care is available from 7:30 am to 9:00 am
    • FREE Afternoon Extended Care is available from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
    • Extended Care is available weekly and daily and is always FREE

    Regular Camp Hours
    • Regular Drop-off is from 8:45 am to 9:05 am
    • Regular Pick-up is from 2:50 pm to 3:10 pm

    IDEAS Camp has an extremely strict late pickup policy and an associated penalty fee — please pick your camper up by 5:30 pm to avoid that penalty from being automatically charged.

  • Day Camp Traditions

    IDEAS Summer Camps has established many wonderful traditions. Every day in camp is an opportunity to create memories and overall fun. IDEAS Summer Camps treasure its daily routines and traditions. All of our programs center on the enjoyment of creative play and learning.
  • Morning Meeting

    To set the day off to a great start IDEAS Camp has campers participate in the official “opening” and “closing” of camp each day. Campers take on the responsibility of setting a positive tone each morning and afternoon. Blowing the camp starter horn, banging on the IDEAS Camp Gong, leading the group with spirit cheers; all of these are key parts of camp that promote joy as well as pump energy into fellow campers and staff as we open and close another great day of camp.

    The Spirit Stick

    The most coveted of all camp objects, the Spirit Stick is awarded each morning at Morning Meeting! Each day, campers compete as a team to win the honor of possessing the Spirit Stick for the next day.

    The Day Camp “Fist Bump” Award

    Day Campers take on the morning responsibility as an official greeter for arriving campers positive energy and music create a welcoming and fun start to the day. This is also the time where fist bumps (similar to a high five, but with a little “razzle dazzle”) are abundant. Campers will take on this honored tradition and represent their camp group with pride.

    Plinko for Icees

    Throughout the week, campers cheer on their peers as the Plinko puck drops, deciding the fate of whether or not the campers will receive an ice-cold ice pop. On really hot days, the Plinko Board has an amazing way to find the proper slot so everyone wins!

    Counselor Competitions

    Creative and fun staff participation games where campers support their own program counselors and have the opportunity to see them participate in team-building and friendly competitions both physical and mental. Our Oreo Cookie on the forehead contest is a hit for all campers (and counselors).

  • The IDEAS Dunk Tank

    We like to take advantage of the hot sun as well as a helpless staff member–where campers throw and counselors get dunked in front of their peers to cheers all around.

    The IDEAS Rock Wall

    All campers throughout the week will have an opportunity to climb the wall and aim to ring the bell at the top!

    Family Reunion Night

    The best time of the summer! Towards the end of each summer all families (siblings and friends included) are invited back to an evening of fun and entertainment. DJ tunes, face painting, moon bounces, carnival snacks and family games are enjoyed to celebrate the summer camp season coming to a close.
